A Quick Catch Up

It's been a little wee while since I updated the ol' blogerino, but the last few weeks have been utterly mental. I thought I'd check in with a little life update since it's been a while. If you follow me over on the gram, then you'll probably have noticed I've skipped town. I'm actually away in the Caribbean for the next two and a half weeks which has already been like a spa break for my brain, so I can't wait to see just how chilled out I can get after another couple weeks out here.

So, yes - a busy few weeks have just gone by. I started looking for jobs a couple of months ago, which is in itself an exhausting process. After a couple close calls, I managed to snag a fantastic internship at one of my favourite publishing houses, so my next few months are going to be jam packed with books and work and honestly I'm so excited. I realise I may not feel this way after I get into the 9-5 jam, but I've been bored out of my mind being at home all the time. I think I'm a bit like a shark, and the slow at home nature of working on Into The Fold full time has felt a lot like I've just stopped swimming.

Graduate life can feel incredibly isolated - especially when you move home. You spend three years constantly surrounded by your closest friends, always available to hang out and chat, to having to nail down your friends two weeks in advance because they live on the other side of London, have a job, or don't live in the same city as you at all. Strangely enough, I feel like this is a period in our lives when we need friends close by more than ever - University is stressful, but grad life is an unknown. I've been working alone since June now, so the fact I'm going to be in an office all day surrounding by people all day sounds like bliss.

In other exciting news, I've booked a little getaway to Naples in June to visit a friend. I'll be hitting up the internet for suggestions and tips closer to the time but oh my, think of the PIZZA.

I suppose I best chat about this lewk a little bit as well - this dress from & Other Stories is a vampy dream and I cannot wait for spring to truly hit London so I don't freeze my tits off when I wear it without a coat. These sunglasses from ASOS are wonderfully lightweight, although they're the only ones I remembered to bring with me on holiday which is crazy annoying given that I've been stocking up on cool sunglasses specifically for this trip. Oh well - luxury problems indeed.

I hope you're all well and I won't leave it so long next time for a chat!
