Dressing French

A.P.C. coat, top, hat and bag, ROBERT CLERGERIE shoes, LULU GUINNESS phone case, RAG AND BONE dungarees, SARAH CHLOE pandant and bracelet all via AVENUE 32, TOPSHOP ring and watch, BEAUTY via Asos.

99% of the 'French' aspect of this comes purely from the fact that A.P.C. is a French brand and Clergerie sounds and so is probably also French. I can tell because I had to add the surname to the dictionary on my Mac. I've been very much feeling slightly preppier vibes lately, hoping to experiment a little when the weather cools and dungarees always seem like a solid starting point for any sartorial journey. Add some velvet brogues and you're Wednesday Addams all grown up, minus the macabre humour and plaits that were so 2012.

As cliche and so over-done as it is, there really is something magical about the French approach to fashion- a certain je ne sais qoi that makes even the most put together of outfits seem so blase and natural- A.P.C as a brand is pretty good at sharing that magic with us and making us feel a little more Emmanuel Alt than Shrek at 8AM on a Monday morning. I'm all up for any brand that can do that.

  1. I absolutely love the French way of dressing.

  2. only if i could have this all ....

  3. This was, at one point in time, my absolute UNIFORM for dressing. I absolutely love it, in its chic simplicity. I've incorporated more of the frills back into my style, and made it a little more femme now, but there are days when I love whipping out some of my favorite Parisian looks!
