Breakfast coffee pancakes

Asos coat, Zara hat and shirt, Topshop jeans, Tuffa boots, bag c/o romwe.com

We arrived in NYC at the hotel at about 1pm yesterday and headed straight out to grab some lunch, our hotel is right on times square pretty much so we just grabbed something around there. Then we headed over and strolled along 5th Avenue, Madison Avenue and took a walk through central park before getting dinner at my new favorite burger joint in the states- Five Guys.
it. was. so. dang. tasty.
The first thing I always notice about America is how much friendlier people are. We walked by a coffee place, and were contemplating going in and some man jumps to help and assures us it's the best coffee in New York, way better than "that Starbucks junk". He didn't even work there.
In London, if you stand outside a coffee shop and even say hello to someone they will probably shoot you. With their eyes of course, but it's the thought that counts.
Makes me proud to be half american, but growing up in London I always get a little startled when a billion stranger smile at me and make direct eye contact. Direct eye contact with strangers doesn't even exist in London. It's like unicorns.

P.s how cute is this Zara top with all my favorite things written on it, Breakfast Coffee Pancakes? That's a win.

  8. In italy people is known for being very friendly but to tell the truth we van be very rude. Actually we are, except for the ones who own a restaurant, and they usually pretend to be nice to everyone. We can also be great liars.
In NY I found kind people at every corner: they always helped us finding the place we had to reach... On the other hand they stared us. They always do.

  15. True that, the people are a lot more stiff in London, but actually quite like that as well at some points. But if you're used to that, a friendly hello from Americans can do you so good from time to time ;)

Lmfao. I love being an American :) and it's nice to hear that we're not totally hated by outsiders. I always get that impression when I watch the news. But I guess FOX will do that to you. Crazies.

  26. Haha, my boyfriends favorite burger is Five Guys but I'm not too much of a fan. Definitely check out Shake Shack (although people say it's overrated, I LOVE it). Have a great trip while you're here!

  27. I love your trousers, such a nice colour. It's funny that you think Americans are nicer because they're generally known for being less so, especially in New York. But I guess that's because I'm from Canada and we're known for being overly polite haha. The different country stereotypes are interesting.
