All that jazz

Choies 'Kenzo' jumper, Zara coat, shoes and skirt, Bag c/o Banana Taipei

This is just a quick outfit that I wore with some, well you might say controversial, items.
The bag perhaps less so, but it is essentially a Birkin printed on a (surprisingly good quality) canvas tote that an Asian company sent to me! I'm very interested in the way that some brands are taking designer concepts and making them much less luxury. The jumper, however, is a blatant copy. Well, I say blatant but that oh so coveted Kenzo jumper doesn't actually come in black- this one does though; dare I say it's my favorite color combo of them all. Sometimes I wish I was a man so I could just be all over menswear and wear cool casual brands like Dunhill (Men seem to have so much more choice when it comes to mid-range brands?)
The fact remains that I am 16, and can I really afford a Birkin or a Kenzo jumper? No. Not really. If I could, then I'd probably buy the real thing- but why should I be limited by a budget? Imitation is the highest form of flattery, and for now imitation will suffice for the most part.
What do you think?

  13. I think you're quite right about imitation: there's nothing bad about the impossibility to afford an expensive bag/jumper. And actually the Kenzo sweather looks great in black!
