31 December 2010

By the time I'm out the door, you tear men down like Roger Moore.

2010 was a weird year- understatement, But also exciting. Seeing this blog get better and bigger, and being amazed at all the people who take the time to follow and comment. The features, e.g Teen vogue, The Toronto star and the support I get from fellow bloggers. Thank you to every single one of you.
It's been a year to like no other, partially because it's the first and last 2010 ever.
However, I never really understood why people get so excited about the New Year, apparently it will bring opportunities and all that stuff, but everyday brings new opportunities and it's odd that we should all think that just because a number changes, or another year has gone by that our lives will radically change and we will 'blossom into a butterfly' (metaphorically...except for caterpillars). It's a number, a date, don't change just because of the cliche that is 'Happy New Year'. If you've got a blog, make it better, if your in a relationship, let it bloom, if your in a fight, ride it out because when one door closes a whole new bunch of door open, and not just on New Years Eve.

Anyway, here's to 2011.
Make it a good 'un.

Also here is a quick peek at the things I intend to purchase in the new year.
Obvs not all at once.
unless I won the lottery...

over and out.

  7. i agree with the sentiment in that last sentence, even though the change in year is just a number, we can use it as an excuse to get better (: xo

  8. i completely agree! life is definitely what you make it, therefore - why should a number determine your life if that makes sense?
i'm so proud of your blog and i can tell you now, if you keep going with what you're doing, you have such a shot at making it "big-time" in the fashion industry. i wish i was as talented and photogenic as you. i rarely comment on your blog and i don't mean this offensively at all, i just feel like so many people comment etc - my comment will not make you feel as special as any of the others! but if everybody thought like that then no-body would comment, gosh - i hope this doesn't come out horribly, i don't mean it like that at all! and also, the fact i'm very lazy and don't comment on alot of peoples blogs when i should because everyone in the blogging industy is inspiring and should feel satisfied when they've wrote a blog post. i hope you have an excellent evening tonight with whatever you're doing. much love,

  9. Well said, I agree with everything. People get excited about NYE, it's easy to see why. Reality is, it's not a significant change.

    xx.
Anyways, Have a Happy New Year!

I totally adore what you said about the cliches of new years, if people want to change their lives they could do it any day, no excuses. Now I'm gona sound a tad cliched but I love how down-to-earth you are, it's atually inspired me, so thanks chick ;)
